Position Title: Program Coordinator 
Reports to: Senior Program Manager
Location:  Oakland, CA 
Start: February 2020

Position Description: is seeking a Program Coordinator whose primary responsibility is to connect with educators, education administrators, and other nonprofits with the overall objective of promoting program growth, building loyalty among current users, developing new relationships and partnerships, and increasing brand awareness. The Program Coordinator is also responsible for communicating with BizWorld constituents to increase program implementation; following-up with teachers and other constituents to ensure that BizWorld programs are taught, assistance is provided where needed, and evaluation data is secured. This position serves as a spokesperson and cheerleader for our programs, may attend conferences as our representative, requires a love of people and a high comfort with networking.

Program Outreach & Marketing

  • Develop and execute on the strategy for constituents growth and evolution
  • Helps develop new educator relationships and alliances with individuals, educational organizations, all types of schools, afterschool programs, and educational venues 
  • Provides project management for outreach activities like conferences and workshops
  • Presents on behalf of at outreach events and meetings. Engages and supports educators who would like to present on our behalf
  • Helps engage educators in our social media content and activities
  • Identifies new opportunities for program placement

Educator Support

  • Cultivates quality relationships with existing educator database; identifies and develops advocates to help further outreach
  • Ensures our users receive the support they need to teach and implement curriculum
  • Assists in presenting programs 
  • Provides educator feedback to staff and keeps this feedback as an integral part of all staff discussions and activities

Event Support

  • Leverages educator relationships to identify and recruit schools and students for events and success stories, and helps coordinate logistics with educators for implementation

Data Management

  • Provides project management to ensure that user data is accurate and up-to-date 
  • Collects educator feedback from a variety of channels and encourages submission of data from current users


  • 3+ years of experience in community management, program management, customer advocacy, or product management
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Excellent relationship management and people skills
  • Takes initiative and is resourceful
  • Well organized and follows through on details
  • Knowledge of Salesforce 
  • Experience as an elementary and/or middle school teacher or administrative staff a plus
