Bizworld ID8 is a stellar addition to my gifted curriculum. Students were immediately hooked on this new concept because, who doesn’t want to be on the cutting edge of app development?!
My students absolutely loved working through the ID8 program! Their experience with ID8 gave them teamwork skills, confidence in working with a group of peers & presenting to venture capitalists and most certainly got their creative juices flowing. They loved getting to create an app mockup and design their own websites! This was such a fun program!
id8 challenged students by allowing them to engage in creative problem solving with a relevant, real world problems in meaningful ways, while learning about entrepreneurship, teamwork, and digital tools.
I enjoyed having a realistic experience making a company. I loved seeing the behind the scenes action that goes on.
I loved it because it was a very good experience in real world problem solving.
But the best things about teaching BizWorld Id8 for me were the robust opportunities for differentiation! As a teacher, I had plenty of options: I could give students specific problem situations to solve, or allow students to select from a menu of situations to find the one they were most interested in. And that was just on the first day! Other options were in the marketing phase, when students could learn storyboarding and make a simple Google slideshow for their commercial, or they could experiment with green screen technology and script writing to add rigor to their lesson – all within the same classroom of students. And then there were ways that students naturally accomplished goals in different ways, especially when they were pitching to their investors. There were so many possibilities to individualize learning for my students in simple, but impactful, ways. My students love it, and I loved ID8 and cannot wait to teach it again.
